It doesn't hurt to have a few of these laying around the campsite
Have not had the chance to use them yet. But I really like the pack ability. I put my big shemagh inside and folded up. It was the same thickness. Works great thank you. Dana
I purchased two of these about 9 months ago and I've used them almost every day for hauling my blacksmithing tools in and out of the shop and around to hauling kindling to water from the creek and lake when hiking and camping. I wanted to see how they would weather so one I have kept outside 24/7 for 9 months in southern Spain in the heat and humidity the other inside. After nine months the one kept inside although used just as heavy as the other still holds water without a single drop coming from anywhere the other kept outside in direct sunlight and moisture became slightly stiff and only had minor drips coming from the bottom seam when used for water this last trip I simply rubbed the inside with some bees wax and linseed oil mixture then used a blowdryer to allow it to soak in and good as new something in other items I've had to do much sooner and had much more leaking then just some drops. Well worth the money and great to have on hand.
This collapsible bucket was bought as an "extra thing to tote things in" and immediately become a very heavily used item. I toted it through Scout class, carrying sand, smalls, tinder, water, herbs, cordage.. anything that i needed to collect on the move and have instant access to went into the bucket. it was used in the processes of water collection/filtration/storage, fire prep/gathering, craft, herbal and edible gathering, fishing, "leave no trace" clean-up.. it goes on. its large enough to carry more weight than you want to walk with. It now stays tucked into my pack for when its needed, its a permanent tool when im on my own.
I'm a Army Veteran and remember seeing the large scale Canvas water bags every time I went to the field so as far as the canvas water bucket, it is perfect for my needs and love the storage aspect of it.
