I do wish PSK still offered the 3/16 blade option!
Did not try the knife yet but it seems solid and well built. Handle feels right. Blade is obviously well crafted with attention to detail. Not quite razor sharp but close enough!
The level of quality in design, manufacture, and finish exceeds all expectations. The handle is well formed for ergonomics and the maple is subdued elegance. There no burs or rough patches on the handle or spine. The blade itself is stout and the bevel and edge are immaculate. The sheath is thick and although a bit plain, incredibly well made. A logo embossed or stamped into the sheath is the only room for improvement I see. This is some of the finest craft I have ever seen and is the finest knife I have ever owned. It is refined in almost every way it should be and uncompromisingly rugged in every way it can be. This is worth every dollar and every week of waiting for something so well made. This level of work is worthy to be the centerpiece of an enterprise like SRO and a statement of a commitment to outstanding quality. Everyone involved in the manufacture of this knife should stand taller and prouder for every knife they make.
Just received my Mountain Lion knife by PKS. WOW! This baby is really nice. And SHARP. It was so sharp I thought I was going to cut myself on the 90 degree spine. I would like to know how they got it so sharp. Can't wait to try this knife. Seriously this is a fine knife. The sheath is excellent also. I can see why it takes so long between order and receipt. PKS did a fantastic job. Thank you.
seems nice , I would feel very comfortable in the woods with this .
Love the profile and geometry. It’s slightly too long in the blade but that’s no issue. It cuts beautifully, polished beautifully, throws great sparks from a ferro rod, and holds its edge wonderfully. My only real issues are that the finish on the handle was sticky and gross when I received it, it has since been sanded down and refinished, and the handle gives me a hotspot directly in the center of my hand at the first pin. These issues I believe are not endemic to the knife but simply a result of the knife being handmade. Nothing I can’t fix with minimal effort.
